Northern Bank continues successful relationship with Winter Fair
By Staff Reporter
THE Royal Ulster Agricultural Society has announced that Northern Bank will continue to be the sole sponsor of the Winter Fair, which takes place on December 10 at the King’s Hall Complex.
"The Royal Ulster Winter Fair is a highlight in the local dairy farming calendar” said John Henning, Head of Agriculture, Northern Bank.
“The past 12 months have been extremely challenging for the dairy sector however it is pleasing to see the recent upturn in global dairy commodity prices being reflected in improved milk prices for dairy farmers in Northern Ireland.
“We encourage both regular and new livestock exhibitors to get their entries in early and help ensure that a record number of cattle from all breeds are forward at Balmoral and competing for the Supreme Championship of the show.”
The Royal Ulster Winter Fair gives the dairy farming community the chance to study the best of what the Northern Irish dairy market has to offer. With an increasing number of Southern exhibitors both trade and livestock attending it also offers a better overview of the entire dairy market.
The 2009 Winter Fair will take place at the King’s Hall Complex, Belfast on December 10 from 9am to 5pm. For further information, please contact the RUAS on 028 9066 5225 or visit www.winterfair.org.uk for more information.
