Dromore goes back in time for vintage festival
By Chris McCullough

FOR one day only the County Tyrone village of Dromore will step back in time to appreciate farming as it was many moons ago.

On Saturday, September 5, vintage tractors and cars from both counties Fermanagh and Tyrone will be on display. Some Armagh tractor owners have even suggested they will attend.

Attractions such as live corn threshing and traditional music will raise funds for Fields Of Life charity. Organisers Gareth Kenwell, Harold Stewart and David Graham are hoping for a big crowd to boost Fields of Life funds.

Although tractors and cars will be the enthusiast's highlight of the day, attractions for all the family will be on site.

For the more serious tractor and car owner, this is a one off charity show where a trophy will be presented for the best overall tractor and car, not forgetting the best overall stationery engine.

Also there will be a tractor balancing and guess the age of the tractor competitions followed by a vintage parade through Dromore village in the evening.
