Corrie Farms to highlight complete Limousin system
By Staff Reporter

THE much-anticipated Limousin Club Open day on the Corrie Farms at Newtownards, will be held this Saturday, August 22.

The venue is at 13 Crossnamuckley Road, Newtownards (on the Portaferry side of the town) with the farm open to the public from 12 noon.

This event shouldn’t be missed by anyone with an interest in good cattle and good beef but it should also attract anyone who simply wishes to spend a pleasant afternoon on what is a very special farm where there is plenty to see and do and with a host of activities to meet the needs of the whole family.

This special day is courtesy of the Corrie Family who currently farm over 1,000 acres and maintain three butchers' shops and their farm, buildings, cattle and Farm Shop will be open to all who come.

There’ll be demonstrations, trade stands, play areas for the children, including a “Bouncy Castle” and a “Rodeo Bull”, together with stockjudging and weight assessment events.

There’ll be food available but, perhaps of greater importance, the Farm Butchers' Shop will be open and will stay open as long as necessary.
